Crosby Hotel

Today I had brunch at the Crosby Hotel in Soho. For those who don’t know it yet, it's the first hotel 

in the US of the British hotel company Firmdale. 

What I love about these hotels is their fresh British style, the innovative and beautiful combination 

of colors and the great pieces of artwork that always display.

My favorite artwork pieces in the hotel are the various dogs and the big cow 

at the restaurant area from Peter Clark.

For some reason I’ve never paid so much attention to photography when decorating but recently I am seeing it everywhere and I totally love it.

Large format pictures are a great way to create an eye-catching statement at a reasonable price. They can instantly freshen up a room with more traditional furniture.

I’ve chosen a few ones from Photographers Gallery. I specially like these ones because the color palette. You can pick some colors and create a whole room around it.

PS: The frame is key and it’s worth to invest in quality. Little details like the thickness of the frame and the distance between the glass and the picture will add quality to the piece and it will make it stand as a piece of art.

First Paragraphs...

I have been thinking to create a blog during a long, long time now. I am a vivid blogger reader myself and there is nothing I like more than searching Internet and magazines looking for perfect furniture, perfect deals and perfect inspiring pictures. I found so many lovely things during this time that I have a great urge for sharing!!! It feels like finding a great deal and not being able to share it with your friends.

I love visiting decoration shops, restaurants and hotels and I often think: The day I have a blog I will post these pictures and my readers would love it!

So finally here I am writing the first paragraphs of my new blog. I am sure I am going to enjoy doing this but I hope you enjoy it too.
